The US national security adviser John Bolton, "Iran is working to increase tensions in the region," noting that "US President Donald Trump has kept the door open for dialogue with Iran."

In a speech during the start of the Israeli-American-Russian security summit in West Jerusalem, Bolton pointed out that "Iran has its arms that bring violence and threat in the region and it supports Hezbollah and arm the Shiite militias in Iraq, That "the economy in Iran is collapsing."
The US security adviser stressed that "Washington recognizes the pivotal role of Israel in bringing peace to the region."
US President Donald Trump signed an executive order imposing tough sanctions on Iran on Monday.

Trump said the sanctions came in response to Iran's downing of a plane. He said the sanctions would target Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, adding that he was not seeking to enter into a conflict with Iran and would like to reach an agreement with them.

Iran's ambassador to the United Nations, Majid Takht Ravanchi, said the new sanctions imposed by Washington "do not show respect for international law," stressing that there is no chance for dialogue between the United States and Iran as long as the threat of sanctions remains.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said the US decision to impose sanctions against Iran's leaders and other senior officials would forever close the path of diplomacy between Tehran and Washington.
