America announces its support for the Saudi alliance in Yemen and emphasizes on preventing Iran from controlling the corridors

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo confirmed on Friday his country's support for the Saudi-led coalition against the Huthis in Yemen.

"The coalition must be supported in Yemen so that Yemen does not move into Iranian control," Pompeo said in a press statement. "The Trump administration refuses to restrict aid to the coalition in Yemen."

"Iran and its allies should not be allowed to control international shipping routes," he said.
