The director of the press office of the head of the coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki on a chant for the leader of the Alliance for Reform and Reconstruction Osama Najafi on the victory of his coalition to the post of governor of Baghdad.
Nujaifi said in a tweet on Wednesday December 12, 2018 that "the success of the reform alliance to win the post of Governor of Baghdad, an important achievement on the path of integration and unity of leadership and cooperation to save Iraq and its welfare and the dignity of its people."
But Hisham al-Rikabi, director of the press office of the head of the coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki responded with a tweet saying: "We will see who will win soon?".
The provincial council of Baghdad, was elected on Wednesday, Fadel al-Shuwaili of the coalition of Sason, a governor of Baghdad, replacing Atwan al-Atwani of the rule of law, who won the membership of the House of Representatives, in the Iraqi elections that took place on the 12th of last May .
The coalition of state law attacked the election of the governor of Baghdad, while confirmed the spread of gunmen around the building of the provincial council to prevent the entry of staff .
"The current governor Atwan al-Atwani has a presidential decree as governor of Baghdad, and he continues his work and did not resign from office, and can not choose two governors of one province."
