The Central Bank of Iraq, on Tuesday, all licensed banks and non-bank financial institutions to abide by the list of prohibitions and controls set in advance to avoid being covered by US sanctions imposed on Iran.

"In order to avoid the risks to Iraqi banks and other non-banking financial institutions because of the sanctions imposed on Iran, you have decided to abide by the attached list of prohibitions and to adopt them primarily in the regulation of the forgery and financial relations," the document said.
