Announced that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has claimed responsibility for the lack of any journalist detained in prison because of the word uttered.
وأوضح المالكي خلال كلمته ألقاها في عيد الصحافة العراقية بحضور عدد من المسؤليين الحكوميين وعدد من الإعلاميين :أن من حق العراق ان يفتخر بصحافته ،لان الصحافة في عهد النظام السابق كانت مكممة وصحافة بوق للحكومة فقط ، مبينا: أن العراق أصبح يتمتع بحرية كبيرة واصبح الاعلام يتمتع بحرية كبيرة وعالية من خلال حرية التعبير والراي. ونفى المالكي : وجود اي صحافي في السجون العراقية معتقلا بسبب كلمة قالها او بسبب عمله الصحفي بشكلا عام ،مضيفا: انا المسؤول اذ وجد هناك اي صحفي في سجن من السجون، لافتا الى: انه لا يحق لاي احد ان يعتقل صحفي اثناء عمله، مؤكدا: أن الصحفي العراقي اثبت جدارته وقوته وشجاعته ولم تثنيه الصعاب والمشاكل من اداء رسالته الاعلامية. وأضاف المالكي: أن الصحافي كان ملاحقا من قبل سلطات النظام السابق، مشيرا الى: ان الحياة تتجمد من دون حرية ، مضيفا : أن ما وصل اليه العراق من حرية التعبير والراي يستحق الفخر وسينعكس على حضارة العراق. Maliki said: that the journalist was wanted by the authorities of the former regime, pointing out: that life is frozen without freedom, adding that reached by Iraq of freedom of expression and opinion is reflected on the pride and culture of Iraq.
