Corruption files from past 15 years must be opened: Saairun MP

Saairun MP Raad al-Mukassousi stated that one of the alliance’s priorities during the next phase is working to open all files of corruption from the past 15 years.

Mukassousi said in a press statement that Saairun Alliance is following the approach of the project to reform the state system, fight corruption and eradicate this scourge that has gnawed away at state institutions.

He also called on the government to prevent officials from traveling before investigations into corruption are complete.

"We will work to open all files of corruption over the past 15 years without exception or fear of anyone," Mukassousi said, calling on newly sworn-in Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi to open files regarding education, health, electricity, agriculture, industry, trade, housing, resources, and the fall of Mosul, adding that these issues have been a major reason for the decline in services and widespread corruption.
