Central Bank of Iraq sales of the currency rise 13 million USD

The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI)'s foreign currency sales rose to $ 152.78 million on Tuesday, compared with $ 140.08 million in Monday's auction of $ 12.7 million.

The central bank said in a statement that the exchange rate was 1190 dinars per dollar, at the auction held with the participation of 34 banks, and one company only for financial transfer.

The bank said the sales were the results of the auction on Wednesday, explaining that the total sales totaled 185.48 million dollars.

The total amount sold to strengthen bank balances abroad was $ 151.53 million, while total cash sold was estimated at $ 33.95 million.

The Central Bank said in a statement that the sale of the amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad is at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, while the cash sale will be at the same price.
