Iraq receives the money of Saddam Hussein from Lebanon .. And 4200 balance in the process of research and restoration

The Association of Lebanese Banks announced on Wednesday the transfer of funds held by the government of Saddam Hussein to the Iraqi government through the Federal Reserve Bank of America. According to Al Jazeera.

According to the Association of Lebanese Banks, "These funds have been transferred to the benefit of the Iraqi authorities, which claim to be restored for some time."

The Iraqi authorities have enacted a law allowed whereby the Supreme National Commission for Accountability and Justice to prosecute former President Saddam Hussein 's money, his family and his relatives and symbols of the system , said Assembly President Joseph Tarabay, said that " there was a transfer of these deposits to the US Federal Bank to put them in the Iraqi Central Bank account under the supervision of military authorities and the Central Bank of Lebanon And thus Lebanon has completed the procedures and returned funds deposited in the name of the Iraqi government during the US occupation of Iraq.

But the Association of Banks did not talk about about 4,200 accounts that Iraqi authorities say belong to the symbols of Saddam's regime and their families.

Lebanese law prohibits the disclosure of any information related to individuals' accounts and the amounts deposited therein, and requires complex legal procedures to establish the right of any heir or agent.

However, this may become possible if the Iraqi authorities formally request Lebanon to investigate the existence of funds for persons who have held official positions or individuals who have been laundering funds for the former regime.
