BAGHDAD, June 27 (AKnews)- Former Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari will head the political reform committee that National Alliance (NA) agreed to form on Thursday.

The head of the NA in the House of Representatives, Jaafari, will also lead the committee, said NA MP Mohammed al-Sahyud.

Sahyud added the committee will comprise one MP from each of the components of the NA.

The committee will "soon" begin working on the points of reform proposed in Erbil and Najaf meetings as well as the suggestions of NA in this respect, according to NA MP.

Three leaders, Kurdistan 's President Massoud Barzani, Sadr Current Leader Muqtada Sadr and Iraqiya List Leader Ayad Allawi, met in Erbil, Najaf and Suli.

In Erbil meeting, they warned PM Nouri al-Maliki to stop his "unilateral" ruling. Later they demanded the NA name another candidate to substitute Maliki.

In response, NA first called for negotiations and later announced it has reform packages to end the political crisis in the country.

While the NA is engaged in its reform project, Iraqiya and Kurdish deputies prepare to interrogate Maliki inside the House of Representatives and hope to withdraw confidence from his government.
