Araji to British Ambassador: Iraq seeks to open up to all countries of the world

Interior Minister Qassem al-Araji said on Wednesday that Iraq is seeking to open up to all countries of the world.

"Interior Minister Qassem al-Araji met in his office the British ambassador to Iraq, John Wilkes, and during the meeting, he discussed a number of related issues and ways of developing them to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples," a statement from the interior ministry said.

In his speech, the interior minister stressed Iraq's desire to open up to all countries in the world and to serve the interests of the Iraqi people and support security and stability in the country.

For his part, the British ambassador confirmed his country's support for Iraq on various levels.
