Parliamentary policy that calls the boycotting blocs to the meeting of the opponents of the elections: will fail

The Information Office of the outgoing Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri announced on Thursday the Council's intention to hold an emergency session on Saturday to discuss the repercussions and results of the 2018 election and the accompanying objections and accusations.

The 81 deputies from the political blocs objecting to the results of the elections a request to the Presidency of the Parliament to convene an emergency meeting and discuss the repercussions of the parliamentary elections for 2018.

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General in Iraq, Jan Kubic, called on Thursday the Independent High Electoral Commission to conduct an immediate and full investigation into all complaints related to the electoral process.
