Report: The next Iraqi government will be the least favorable for the survival of the Americans

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The Iraqi government will be the least favored for US troops to stay in the next phase, according to a report released on Tuesday by AxosCom.

"As the current results are confirmed, the new government is expected to be less favorable to the survival of US troops in Iraq, while the next prime minister will have the ability to demand the withdrawal of troops from the country," the report said.

He added that "the current Prime Minister Haider Abadi was a major ally and partner of the United States," noting that "Sadr and al-Amiri opposed in return for the survival of US forces in Iraq."

"Even if Abadi held his office for a second term, the new government should put more pressure on the next prime minister to demand a rapid withdrawal of US forces from the country," the report said.
