"Important" laws and articles have been disabled because of influential politicians

The deputy of the civil current, Shorouk Abayji, on Wednesday, that many of the laws and paragraphs and important articles delayed because of some influential politicians who do not see an interest in passing, noting that among these laws is the law against domestic violence.

"There are laws and paragraphs within the law of elections of the Iraqi Council of Representatives to prevent corrupt persons covered by amnesty for financial and administrative corruption crimes from the nomination to the elections in the next session," said Abayiji, "but unfortunately the political will of some influential within the parliament disrupted Vote on this vital article, which falls within the functions of the legislative parliament in preventing corrupt access to the centers of sovereignty.

She added that "other important laws that have been postponed for more than one session because of some influential people who do not see his interest in passing, is the law against domestic violence, which serves the interests of the Iraqi people and women and the Iraqi family in a reality where the violence is large."

She stressed that "many things, laws and materials are disabled because of political differences and because of these powerful political forces that look at it from its own angle and not to the interest of the nation."

It is noteworthy that there is a package of laws in the House of Representatives because of the differences of political blocs around, and was deported to several parliamentary sessions.
