World Bank President Jim Young-kim announced the World Bank's contribution of $ 4.7 billion to Iraq's reconstruction.

"The World Bank has increased its contribution to the reconstruction of Iraq from $ 1 million in 2016 to $ 4.7 billion so far," Kim said in a speech at the Iraq reconstruction conference. "This money is for the reconstruction of services, bridges, rehabilitation of water and electricity systems and job creation. '.
He added that the World Bank has allocated $ 1 million for projects in seven cities and another $ 1.5 million to support the private sector and to invest in transport, communications, banking and agriculture systems. Noting that the World Bank is working today to increase banking products to provide assistance to Iraqis, stressing that the World Bank is committed to increasing funding for Iraq and development strategies for the improvement of investment and the private sector.
