Central bank sales of foreign currency fall 21 million USD

The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI)'s foreign exchange sales fell to $ 139.33 million from $ 160.18 million on Wednesday, down 20.85 million dollars, the bank said in a statement.

The Central Bank said in its statement that the exchange rate reached 1190 dinars per dollar in the auction held with the participation of 40 banks and 7 companies for financial transfer.

The bank said the sales were the result of the auction scheduled for next Sunday, explaining that the total sales for the day amounted to about 179.83 million dollars.

Amounts sold to boost bank balances abroad were about $ 137.97 million, while cash sales were estimated at $ 1.35 million.

The Central Bank said in a statement that the sale of the amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad is at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, while the cash sale will be at the same price.
