The National Union calls on Abadi not to "manipulate" and clarify the fact that the audit lists of employees of Kurdistan

The deputy MP for the Kurdistan National Union bloc in the Iraqi parliament, Rankin Abdullah on Friday, Prime Minister Haider Abadi, clarifying the truth of the audit lists of employees of the Kurdistan Region.


Abadi and his spokesman Saad al-Hadithi said on more than one occasion that the committees of the federal government is working to audit the salaries of employees and workers in Kurdistan to pay salaries to them, but officials in the region say that there is no truth to those statements and it is just for media consumption.

"We demand that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi clarify the truth of the audit of the records of staff in the Kurdistan Region, especially that there is no audit or practical action or visit to a technical delegation, and we have not seen any action by the Office of Financial Supervision in this regard," Abdullah said in a statement today. "He said.

"There is an initiative by the Kurdistan Regional Government to send the number of staff of the region to the federal government in Baghdad and according to the biometric registration and an official letter signed by the head of the regional government, but Mr. Abbadi did not answer," she said. "He said.

"The continuation of talk about the strength of Kurdish citizens in the Kurdistan region is absolutely unacceptable and we do not want to drag this issue to the arena of conflict between Baghdad and Erbil and both governments bear responsibility for what is happening to the people of the Kurdistan Region, which does not deserve to be a party to the wrong policies."

She called on MP from the National Union "Abadi not to manipulate the emotions and feelings of the citizens of the Kurds by talking over and over again about paying their salaries at other times and scrutinizing them," warning "of the anger of the street, whose strength is not immune to political upheavals and conflicts."
