“Mai” telephoned Nechirvan Barzani and invited him to a British official

The British Prime Minister “Theresa May” a telephone conversation with the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government Nechirvan Barzani, according to the announcement by London.

A statement issued by Britain on May said that Britain’s struggle will continue to preserve the rights and identity of the Kurds within the framework of the Iraqi constitution, stressing the need to resolve the differences and outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad dialogue.

“We will be happy to see you in London,” May told Barzani, referring to an official invitation to the Prime Minister of Kurdistan to visit Britain.

“We can discuss in detail the problems and disagreements in Iraq,” he said, expressing hope that the Erbil and Sulaymaniyah airports would reopen as soon as possible in the framework of a joint mechanism with the Iraqi government.

The “Mai” welcomed the position of Nechirvan Barzani in welcoming the decisions of the Federal Supreme Court, calling for the continuation of the Kurdistan Regional Government in the reforms at the political, economic and security.

BGG ~ This doesn't sound at all like they are going for the KRG "independence play"... no matter which Barzani is in charge. Massoud stepping down doesn't seem to have stalled the international sentiment. He really should have taken the deal.
