The Ministry of Oil announces the pumping of 200,000 barrels through the southern ports

The oil ministry announced on Saturday that it pumped 200,000 barrels of crude oil through southern ports, indicating that this was compensation for the exports of the north.
“The Basra oil company started to pump 200 thousand barrels of crude oil per day from the fields of the center and south, in addition to the rate of daily oil exports of more than 3 million and 200 thousand barrels, which are exported through southern ports,” Oil Minister Jabbar Ali al-Allaibi said in a statement.
“The decision was made to compensate for the quantities lost by Iraq as a result of the decline of oil exports from the northern fields through the port of Ceyhan, Turkey because of law enforcement operations in Kirkuk and a number of northern provinces.”
He continued that “these exports will not affect the commitment of Iraq to the decision to reduce production and the ministry is keen to speed up the development of solutions and treatments for oil fields and installations in the province of Kirkuk, Nineveh and Salahuddin. ”
For his part, spokesman for the ministry Assem Jihad said that “the Minister of Oil has directed officials and oil ministers to accelerate the process of evaluating the pipeline of oil exports Kirkuk – Ceyhan and the pipeline to transport crude oil Kirkuk – dimension and rehabilitation.”
Jihad said that “the ministry is working on the transfer and discharge of crude oil from the fields of Kirkuk in order to meet the needs of refineries and power stations in the central and southern provinces and address the accumulation of all the technical problems and the persistence caused by the war on the ISIS gangs and the repercussions of the seizure of the fields of Bay Hassan and Havana and their impact on the national production of Kirkuk fields and the problems of the discharge of crude oil. “
