Czech Republic and Iraq agree to develop banking relations

The Association of Iraqi Private Banks and the Czech Republic agreed to develop banking relations by holding a meeting between the Iraqi and Czech banks in Prague.
Association of Iraqi private banks announced in a press statement that “the President of the Association of Iraqi private banks Wadih al-Hanal received the Czech ambassador in Baghdad Jan Vijtal in the headquarters of the Association in Baghdad, and discuss the development of economic relations, especially banking between the two countries,” indicating that “the two sides agreed to develop banking relations” .
The statement quoted Hancel as saying that private banks want to strengthen relations with Czech banks through the establishment of conferences and workshops between the two countries.
On the other hand, the Czech ambassador proposed organizing a meeting between the Czech Minister of Trade and Economy and the Association of Private Banks and representatives of Iraqi banks on the visit of the next Iraqi minister to the beginning of 2018.
Jan Vijtal stressed the strengthening of relations by sending an Iraqi banking delegation to the Czech Republic to conduct a training course and establish a university or economic educational institution in cooperation with the Czech side.
