BGG ~ Why didn't Kurdish Forces Fight Back the Iraqi Invasion of Kirkuk?

    1) Because it wasn't an invasion.

    2) Because it wasn't theirs to start with.

    3) Because if they had the advance warning (as they insisted they did - and passed it to Maliki) regarding ISIS, why didn't they fight back early on??

A lot of Iraqis, Kurdish and Yizidi people paid a very dear price for all the political big-wigs letting this ISIS thing all play out.

    4) Because if they don't (fight back) - they stand to gain far more from the international community (they really should have inked the deal already - had Barzani been looking out for the interests of the people and not just his own@$$ ).
