Minister of Transport announces the landing of the first Saudi plane at Baghdad airport tomorrow

The Minister of Transport, Mr. Kazem Fangan Al-Hamami, met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Iraq Abdul Aziz Al-Shammari to discuss enhancing the bilateral relations between the two countries in the field of transport.
Al-Hamami said that in the framework of joint cooperation between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, a joint memorandum of understanding was signed between the two parties to regulate air transport services and provide all ground services to the Kingdom’s planes and vice versa. He stressed that Iraq seeks to open up to all countries in the world, We are opening new horizons for cooperation in various areas of transport.
The Minister of Transport said that it was agreed to fly from Saudi Arabia airports to Iraqi airports. He said: “On Wednesday, the plane of the Saudi company NAS will land at Baghdad International Airport, followed by another plane from Saudi Arabia.
In parallel, the Saudi side expressed its readiness to provide all service facilities through its airports as well as agreeing on scheduled and regular flights to Iraqi Airways to Jeddah, Madinah and Dammam airports.
This comes after the great interest shown by the Minister of Transport, Mr. Kazem Venjan Al-Hamami, the need to open up to the regional and international environment in all areas related to civil aviation and other services.
