Secretariat of the Council of Ministers: the creation of hundreds of projects stalled throughout Iraq

The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alaq said that 45% of the displaced in Iraq returned to their areas after liberation, stressing the allocation of funds for 320 projects stalled in the field of basic services and infrastructure across the country.
“More than five million people have been displaced since June 2014,” he said, adding that 45 percent had been returned to their areas freed from the terrorist “da’ash”.
He added that “more than 45% of the displaced returned to their areas after the government and in cooperation with some international and humanitarian organizations provided basic services, in particular water and electricity and some educational and health services”
He pointed out that the Ministry of Planning at an earlier stage indicated that these damages need funds not less than 50 billion dollars.
