Peshmerga: We will teach the others a lesson they will not forget and will not retreat one meter

The commander of the Peshmerga forces in the axis of western Kirkuk Kamal Karkuki, on Saturday, a stern warning to the Iraqi forces and the popular crowd in the event of progress towards the province.

“We have taken the necessary preparations to face any risks and if the others commit any mistake and move towards us, we will teach them a lesson they will never forget,” he told a news conference. “We have not, and will not, retreat from our positions and we are ready for any confrontation.”

“These threats and actions and the transfer of weapons near our sites clearly show that Iraqi forces and the popular crowd are harboring ill intentions,” he said, adding that “the Kurds are against war and fighting and are ready to engage in dialogue.”

“The Iraqi government has two sides on the one hand saying that the Kurds are our brothers and the Peshmerga forces are part of the defense system and on the other hand they are sending the popular crowd, most of whom do not speak the Arabic language to confront us,” he said, stressing that “all the Peshmerga forces and their leaders have vowed to put all capabilities against any An entity that is trying to attack Kirkuk or Kurdistan and that we will never retreat under any pressure or influence. ”

He pointed out that “the popular crowd does not carry a sound intention, and used the deception with the international coalition, which provided Baghdad with weapons to the latter to give them to the crowd.”

“The forces coming to Kirkuk, including the crowd, can not enter Kirkuk, but if they commit a mistake – and we hope so – we assure you they will get a defeat they will not forget.”
