Postponement of the session of the House of Representatives to next Monday

The House of Representatives postponed its normal session which was scheduled to be held on Saturday to next Monday.

"The reason for not holding the meeting is because of the lack of quorum, where the record of the presence of 158 deputies only, referring to the transformation of the meeting to a meeting of committees, and the postponement of its agenda to the meeting next Monday."

It was scheduled to vote the House of Representatives during its meeting today on the proposal to amend the law of the Electoral Commission for the elections and completes the vote on the draft amendment to the Third Law of Governorates not organized in a region.

The Information Department of the Council said in a statement that the agenda of the meeting includes voting in principle on the proposed law to amend the law of the elections of the House of Representatives, and vote on the proposal to amend the law of personal status, while will vote in the seventh paragraph on the draft law to ratify the Convention on the encouragement and mutual protection of investments between Government of Iraq and Iran.
