Members of the House of Representatives confirmed the passing of the legislative authority in strengthening the unity of Iraq and the commitment of the region to its decisions, pointing out that the executive authority is obliged to implement the decisions of the Council, while noting that the government began to implement these decisions.
The MP from the coalition of Iraqi forces Noura al-Bajari: «The decisions of the House of Representatives in his capacity as the highest legislative authority in the country binding on the executive authority», indicating that «members of the Council are keen to follow up the implementation of these decisions».
"The leaders of the region did not abide by the decisions of the House of Representatives regarding the handing over of airports and border crossings and the start of dialogue with Baghdad," Al-Bajari said in an interview with Al-Sabah. "It rejects any dialogue with the Kurdish leadership if it is not preceded by the cancellation of the referendum and its results."
Al-Bijari said that «the parliament rejected in its decisions to hold a dialogue between Baghdad and Erbil on the referendum on secession», pointing out that «any dialogues on outstanding issues between the center and the region can be accepted».
"The deterioration of the crisis and its continuation is caused by the intransigence of the Kurdistan Regional Government and its defiance of the federal government," she said, adding that "the leaders of the separation by administrative procedures to annex the province of Kirkuk to the region is a major challenge that contradicts the calls for dialogue launched by Barzani.
In turn, the MP for the state of law Abbas al-Bayati that «the government began to implement the decisions of the parliament and put mechanisms to control the ports and the extension of state authority in the disputed areas», adding that «the House of Representatives approved the Supreme Reference Guidelines, which calls for maintaining the unity of Iraq».
Al-Bayati said in an interview with Al-Sabah that "the MPs voted on a number of important decisions to preserve the unity of Iraq in support of the previous 13 resolutions issued against the region." He pointed out that "the leaders of the region have fallen into the quagmire of the referendum and everyone feels that the leaders who pushed towards The referendum is in trouble and wants to get rid of it now and the right way to resolve the crisis is to return to the constitution. "
He revealed «the rejection of the members of the parliament any dialogue before the official announcement of the province to cancel the referendum and any possible consequences», a condition to start a dialogue with Baghdad «cancel the results of the referendum and abide by the Constitution and when the dispute refer to the Federal Court».
