The first of the Jordanian export convoys to go to the Iraqi market through the crossing of Trebil, Monday, loaded with industrial products, as announced by the Committee to follow up the export issues to Iraq.

"The first truckload of Jordanian goods left for Iraq in recent weeks was loaded with vegetables, fruit and other industrial products," said Hassan al-Samadi, member of the General Authority of the Amman Chamber of Industry.

"The work is underway to prepare a new convoy of 20 trucks, which is expected to leave to the Iraqi border next Thursday, and includes various industrial products, mainly detergents and cosmetics," adding that "the process of exporting national products to the Iraqi market is through the arrival Trucks to the exchange yard on the border between the two countries, and then the goods are transferred to Iraqi trucks. "

The crossing is the only outlet linking the flow of commercial goods between Jordan and Iraq and closed in 2015 due to the security situation in that period. The crossing was reopened before the movement of goods and passengers before the end of last August.
