Basra border ports call on the federal government to attract traders and suppliers of goods

The Commission called on the border ports in the Basra provincial council, the federal government and the concerned authorities to apply laws that facilitate and contribute to attract traders and suppliers of goods, to enter their goods through the ports of Basra border, especially after the controversy over the closure of border crossings in northern Iraq.

The head of the committee, Morteza al-Shammani, said in a press statement that "The Trend Press" a copy of it on Saturday, the federal government and the Ministries of Finance and Interior in addition to the Customs Authority and the Directorate of border ports work on the application of laws that facilitate the process of entering traders for their goods through the ports of Basra, Goods into and out of the central and southern regions.

Al-Shomani said, "the readiness of his committee to contribute to attract merchants from the center and south to enter their goods through the border crossings in Basra after they enter through the north of Iraq."
