"The blocs in the parliament of the Kurdistan region with the Presidency on Thursday to hold a meeting on Saturday in the presence of the regional government to discuss the latest developments on the scene after the referendum which was held for independence from Iraq.

A parliamentary source told Ashqaf News that the parliamentary blocs held with Deputy Speaker Jafar Aminki after the meeting held between them.

The source added that the meeting decided to hold a meeting on Saturday in the presence of Parliament Speaker Yusuf Mohammed.

The parliamentary blocs in the Parliament of the Kurdistan Region earlier in the day meeting discussed the punitive measures taken by the Council of Representatives and the federal government against the territory against the background of the referendum held on the 25th of this month for independence from Iraq.

The blocs decided during the meeting to extend an invitation to the President of the Parliament of the province, Yusuf Mohammed to hold a meeting to verify the national consensus to respond to the decisions taken by the House of Representatives and the federal government.
