Saudi Trade Minister: We aim to open the Iraqi market in front of our products

Saudi Arabia's minister of trade and investment, Majid al-Kasabi, said Tuesday that his country aims to improve its diplomatic relations with Iraq to open the Iraqi market to Saudi products.

"The efforts made by the Kingdom this year to improve diplomatic relations with Iraq are aimed at opening the Iraqi market to Saudi products," the newspaper Okaz said.

"Saudi Arabia will develop a new legal framework for the government's work with the private sector by the end of this year, while other parts of the stimulus package are ready," he said.

"The government has supported the Industrial Development Fund, has increased its capital along with other funds, and there is support for the country's mining strategy, in addition to actual steps in various directions," he said.
