Iraq will sell shipments from the Basra refinery on the Dubai Mercantile on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange


The Iraqi oil marketing company (SOMO) will sell two million barrels of heavy Basra crude for loading in November through a tender on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange on Sept. 19, two commercial sources said.

The state oil company will also launch two million barrels of Basra light crude for loading in November through the Dubai Duty Free on September 20.

One of the exporters said the shipments will be loaded between November 23 and 28.
Sumo sold 2 million barrels of Basra’s heavy crude at $ 1.63 per barrel and another two million barrels of Basrah Light crude at 17 cents a barrel last month through a tender on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange. Both shipments were priced for October in exchange for the official sale price.
