    The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, on Thursday, Prime Minister Haider Abadi, on the University's keenness on the unity of Iraq and not raise any problems that undermine the security and unity.

    Informed sources in Baghdad told Al-Ghad Press earlier today that Abul-Gheit arrived in the capital to meet with Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to discuss the crisis with Kurdistan and the referendum on secession.

    The Egyptian media had confirmed earlier on Saturday, the departure of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, from Cairo, on a visit to Iraq, including Baghdad and Erbil, headed a delegation of officials of the Secretariat of the University.

    The Kurdistan region decided to hold a self-determination referendum independently of Iraq on September 25, prompting a series of domestic and international objections.
