Iraq's Abadi says Kurdistan referendum 'unconstitutional

Iraqi PM Haider l-*Abadi has slammed the Kurdistan region independence referendum* set to be held Sept. 25th as an unconstitutional move, The Baghdad Post reported Wednesday.

Speaking this weekly press release, Abadi said, Holding the referendum without getting well-scrutinized results deceieves the Iraqi people

If such a move was taken unilaterally, the whole country will enter a dark tunnel he added.

A number of regional powers including Iran and Turkey oppose the kurdistan referendum.

But Kurdish leaders stressed the referendum would be held on time despite oppositions.

The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Haider Abadi, that the referendum on independence in the Kurdistan region is unconstitutional already

A referendum without a deliberate outcome is deceiving people, and holding a referendum unilaterally enters the country in a dark tunnel Abadi said at his weekly press conference.
