Minister of Transport Kazem Vangan Al-Hamami announced on Saturday the opening of three new airlines, from the airports of Baghdad and Basra to Moscow, Kuwait and Tehran.
He pointed out that the agreement between the Iraqi civil aviation and civil aviation to resume the resumption of flights between Baghdad and Moscow after a break of about 13 years, indicating: This important line will allow Iraqi civil aviation to enter European airspace and opens the prospects for the Iraqi traveler in the fields of trade and tourism Work and treatment due to the development of scientific and economic performance of Russia.
For his part, welcomed the Russian side of the Iraqi initiative, saying it will undoubtedly promote the development of economic relations between Russia and Iraq, as well as enhance cooperation in the field of air transport.
On the other hand, Al-Hamami pointed out that another air line will be launched from Basrah airport towards Kuwait City in the framework of enhancing bilateral relations and facilitating the movement of travelers between the two countries, Pointing out that another air line will be opened from Basra International Airport towards the Iranian city of Tehran to satisfy the desire of travelers to the southern provinces towards the Islamic Republic of Iran. He also pointed out that discussions are underway with many countries to open horizons for Iraqi civil aviation to reach the capitals of the world.
