Tauran: All blocs reject the referendum because it is contrary to the Constitution

A member of the Legal Committee in the House of Representatives Hassan Turan, on Thursday, that there is no political bloc with a referendum in the region, pointing out that the referendum is contrary to the Constitution and puts the unity of the country to danger.

"There is no political bloc with the holding of the referendum in the region because it is contrary to the constitution and puts the unity of the country at risk," Turan told al-Gharab. "There is no legal basis for holding the referendum in the region or in the disputed areas."

He added that "the involvement of Kirkuk in this equation increases the problems existing in the province," pointing out that "the Federal Administrative Court invalidated the decision to raise the flag of the Kurdistan region and promised illegal."

"If the administrative judiciary did not agree to raise the flag, how can the approval of the issue of the most serious referendum, which will lead to the disruption of the unity of the country ?," calling "the political blocs to have a position of the referendum, and the brothers in the region to retreat from their decision and return to Constitution to solve problems ".

A member of the Legal Committee in the House of Representatives on the need to "be the governor of Kirkuk for all components of the province and not biased to a national project, and this project will create problems between the components.

The Council of Kirkuk has voted, Tuesday, last on the participation of the province in the referendum of the Kurdistan region.
