Iraqi Ports Company opens bids for the construction of the first phase of the port of Faw

The General Company for Iraqi Ports opened on Monday bids for the first phase of the construction of the port of Faw, in the presence of the Minister of Transport, Mr. Kazem Fanjan Al-Hamami, the Director General of the company Mr. Riyad Swadi Shamki and a group of departmental and company officials.
The tender was opened in the presence of three major companies (Daewoo Companies, International Drilling Companies Coalition and Csecc consortium).
For his part, the Minister of Transport stressed the adoption of transparency and fairness in the consideration of advanced offers by the major international companies that wish to work in the port of Faw Al-Kabeer, noting that the companies that attended the tenders are highly observant and highly efficient in the field of strategic projects giant and have extensive experience globally.
He pointed out that work is continuing in full swing to complete the completion of the basic stages of the port. Stressing that this project is a major shift for the Iraqi economy and raises the financial possibilities of the state and attracts international companies to transport their goods and goods through this port.
