Nineveh Liberation Forces commander Major General Najm al-Jubouri revealed the liberation of a third of the city of Tal Afar by the joint forces and the popular crowd. He expected the city to be liberated in the next eight days, after which it would be declared free of terrorists.
Al-Jabouri said that the military units in the eastern and south-eastern regions, represented by the 9th Armored Division of the Iraqi Army, supported by the Abbas combat brigade and Ali al-Akbar Brigade in the popular crowd, set the targets set for them on Thursday, referring to their entry into Al-Jazira, .
He pointed out that the forces of the counterterrorism forces were able to enter the orchards area and the teachers' neighborhood in the center of Tal Afar, in parallel with the completion of the federal police and rapid response in the northern district of the struggle and moved towards the other neighborhoods within their responsibility.
He referred to the participation of artillery, missiles and aircraft of the International Coalition in support of the advanced forces on the ground in Tal Afar in addition to the support provided by the Army Air Force. He pointed to the killing of elements who are calling for very large losses in lives, including 129 terrorists who were killed during the past two days by Air Force and the International Alliance, The Abbas squad was able to eliminate 19 terrorists yesterday and the 9th Armored Division of the Iraqi army over 15 members of the Dahesh.
