The Committee on Study and Analysis in Iraqi Ports, on Friday, its report to the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation {JICA} within the projects of the Japanese loan for the second phase of rehabilitation and reconstruction of the port of Khor al-Zubayr south of Basra. “The report prepared by the committee came to obtain the official approvals for the construction of the project of welcoming the trucks with its annexes at the port of Khor al-Zubayr,” a statement to the Ministry of Transport was quoted by Director General of Ports Riad Sawadi as saying. He pointed out that “the project will be referred to a company after the approval by the Agency,” adding that “it is hoped to direct the project in the next phase within the projects of the Japanese loan authority of the General Company for Iraqi ports.”
