Haidar Abadi: There is no intention to cancel the petrodollar allocations for the oil-producing provinces

Prime Minister Haider Abadi, on Tuesday, there is no intention to cancel the petrodollar allocations for the oil-producing provinces, while pointing to the existence of Iraqi-German cooperation in the development of ports in the province of Basra.
Abadi said in his weekly press conference that “we seek to amend the petrodollar to be a percentage and not a fixed price for the instability of oil prices,” stressing that “there is no intention to cancel the petrodollar allocations for the oil-producing provinces.”
In a separate context, Abbadi pointed out that “there is Iraqi-German cooperation in the development of the ports of Basra,” explaining that “out of a total of 18 projects allocated to all of Iraq from the Japanese loan there are eight projects for Basra.”
He continued that “the money spent for Basra was enormous, but went because of corruption,” adding that “the problem of Basra province is not financial allocations, but where these assignments go.”
