UAE company plans to increase its oil production in Kurdistan

TAQA has announced its intention to increase its oil production from the Atroush field in the Kurdistan region to 30,000 barrels per day by the end of this year.
"The company will increase its oil production from the Atrouch field by the end of the current year 2017 to 30 thousand barrels per day," the company said in a statement published today on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange.
The company began last July to produce oil from Atrouch field, but it has not disclosed since then to the amount of oil produced in this field.
The company is working in the field in partnership with the Kurdistan Regional Government and manages the companies "Shahraman" and Marathon "and in 2012 purchased 53.2% of the shares of the field mentioned by the company" General Exploration Partners "for $ 600 million.
