Parliamentary action: The Social Security Law will reach parliament next week
The head of the Labor and Social Affairs Committee, Sadiq al-Mahna, said on Saturday that the Social Security Law was voted in the cabinet last week and will reach parliament next week, indicating that the law will include all workers in the private sector.

Al-Mahna told Al-Ghad Press that his committee "finalized the World Bank on the Social Security Law," noting that "the cabinet voted on the law last week and will reach parliament next week."

He pointed out that "the law will change the economic situation of Iraq and activates the private sector and reduce demand for employment and guarantees the rights of workers and increases their investments and the private sector."

He added that "workers will benefit from social security through the deduction of 13% of the employer and 7% of the worker, as the employee takes 15% of his salary and 10% of the government," explaining that "the worker can ensure himself alone through the payment of pensions, Stressing that "the law will include all workers in the private sector."
