The government votes on a decision to facilitate transport and trade in the ESCWA region

The Cabinet voted on Wednesday to ease transport and trade in the ESCWA region.



The Council of Ministers held today its regular session under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi. During the meeting, the general amnesty law was discussed, in addition to financing the Ministry of Culture and Airport Security.



The statement added that "Resolution No. (1) of the National Committee for Facilitating Transport and Trade in the ESCWA Region was adopted on the ratification of the recommendations of the Ports Use Committee."



The headquarters of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) or UNISCOA is located in Beirut and is one of five regional commissions established by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. The United Nations Charter provides for factors of stability and well-being that are essential for the establishment of sound and friendly relations among nations , On the basis of respect for the principle of equal rights, which guarantees the right to self-determination and provides equal opportunities, including a better standard of living and employment for all, through sustained stimulation of economic growth and social development.
