Iraq and Saudi Arabia sign memorandum of understanding to increase number of flights

The Ministry of Transport announced Tuesday that the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two countries to increase and regulate the number of flights.

The Ministry of Transport in a press statement received "the economy news" a copy of it, "The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority signed on Tuesday with the General Authority for Civil Aviation Saudi memorandum of understanding between the two countries to increase the number of flights and organization," noting that " General of Saudi Civil Aviation Abdul Hakim bin Mohammed Al-Bader Al-Tamimi and the Iraqi Ambassador in Saudi Arabia, Rushdi Mahmoud Al-Ani, in addition to the delegations of the two countries. "

"The memorandum will increase the number of flights so that they become regular and daily instead of ground flights," the statement quoted the director-general of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, Hussein Mohsen, as saying.

Mohsen added that "the air transport agreement between the two countries was discussed in preparation for the final signing by the Minister of Transport, Mr. Kazem Fanjan Al-Hamami in the near future."

He pointed out that "the possibility of opening offices of the Iraqi Airways in all airports of the Kingdom to facilitate the movement and flow of pilgrims and Iraqi pilgrims."
