The head of the national coalition bloc, Kazem al-Shammari, on Monday, the non-adoption of the provincial elections law due to the electoral denominator and the age of the candidate.

Al-Shammari said in a press conference held in the parliament building in the presence of members of the bloc and attended by "Al-Ghad Press" that "the national wishes to clarify some of the things that permeated the voting session on the law of provincial elections," noting that "the first of these things was related to the constituency, Supports 1.4 and cooperated with other political blocs to pass it. "

He added that "the other matter is about the age of the candidate and was in 30 years and our position was to be the age of nomination 28 years or less, especially as the Iraqi people are classified and the youth sector struggled for changes," pointing out that "the law voted to be a candidate pregnant "We were in favor of this proposal, but we hoped there would be a compromise to ensure that some sections of the Jamahiriya would enter as tribal chiefs and religious figures."
