MP, Mahdi Haji, of the Kurdistani Alliance expected "Nominating the head of Ahrar bloc, MP Baha'a al-Araji, to assume the task of investigating the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to withdraw confidence from him."

Speaking to All Iraqi News Agency (AIN), he said "The political blocs formed committees to prepare the files, which Maliki will be investigated over in the parliament, in addition to nominating the figure who will investigate him."

Earlier, MP, Talal al-Zubayi, of the Iraqiya Slate confirmed that Araji will assume the task of investigating Maliki because he has documents that condemn Maliki over the case of al-Zarga.

Earlier, the President Jalal Talabani assured, on last Saturday night, that the number of the MPs who have signed a request to withdraw confidence from the Premier Nouri al-Maliki reached only 160 MPs which is less than the required number limited by 163.

The political sides which held a meeting in Erbil on last Sunday decided to send "A clarifying message to confirm that the signatures collected for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, are constitutionally suffesient and valid.

It is worth mentioning that the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, participated in a meeting in Nineveh to discuss the efforts for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.
