"

The Presidency postponed the vote on the draft amendment to the Third Law of Governorates not organized in the region No. [21] for the year 2008 submitted by the legal committees and regions and governorates not organized in the region until a joint session of the two committees under the presidency of the Council to remove the contradiction in the draft law.

The Council voted on the Foreign Residents 'Residence Bill, submitted by the Security, Defense and Legal Committees to the numerous amendments to the Foreigners' Residence Law No. 118 of 1978 and the emergence of new cases requiring reconsideration of the ruling and in accordance with the objective conditions of the Republic of Iraq, encouraging investment and facilitating access to foreigners.

The Council read a report and discussed the draft law on the ratification of the Agreement on the encouragement and mutual protection of investments between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, submitted by the committees of foreign relations, economy and investment.

In the interventions of the deputies called MP Jawad al-Bolani to provide high conditions of transparency during the transfer of funds as well as the importance of the commitment of the two countries to provide adequate information on investment projects and avoid money laundering or subject to legal prosecution by international institutions.

The Council completed reading the report and discussion of the proposed amendment to the Law of Ownership No. 25 of 1960, submitted by the Higher Education and Scientific Research Committee.

The Committee noted that the Landlords Act is a special law that does not relate to a civil service that does not include a job description.
