Iraq Announces restoration of 131 million dollars of the money withheld by the United Nations

The Foreign Ministry said Thursday, about restoring Iraqi money seized by the United Nations oil-for-food program, a sign that worth 131 million dollars.

He said the Ministry's spokesman Ahmed Jamal, in statement/balance news/copy, "was to restore Iraqi money seized by the United Nations oil-for-food programme amounting to 131 million dollars, in addition to its benefits for six years.

He added, "it was after the Ministry enables the authorization of the Cabinet with the support of the Prime Minister and the contribution of the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to negotiate the last commitments on this program, two rounds of negotiations with the United Nations Secretariat regarding completion of Iraq emerging obligations of Chapter VII."

The spokesman noted that "by the end of this year is expected to end all Chapter VII resolutions burdens carried by Iraq because of his policies and aiming system Follies were handcuffed and led to the detention of Iraq funds by international organizations."
