The Electoral Commission approves the establishment of three new parties

The Independent Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced on Tuesday that the Board of Commissioners has approved the establishment of three new parties.

"The board of plenipotentiaries is willing to grant a license to establish three new parties, namely the Al-Hal Party, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Iraqi People's Party, and the Iraqi Republican Rally Party," member of the Board of Commissioners Sirwan Ahmed Rashid said in a statement received by Al-Ghad Press.

He stressed that "the parties mentioned have completed all the procedures and instructions issued by the Commission and the rules of conduct in accordance with the provisions of the law of political parties legislator by the House of Representatives."

He called on "all parties developed for the purpose of establishment, which recorded and cut the legal period for the purpose of completing the registration procedures in preparation for granting them permission to participate in the upcoming electoral entitlements for the purpose of registration in accordance with the procedures and instructions and rules of conduct issued by the Commission."

The law of political parties No. 36 of 2015 has been legislated by the House of Representatives and the Commission began to work under it after it was published in the Official Gazette.
