The Parliamentary Committee charged with investigating the corruption deal with Una Oil on Monday accused the Oil Ministry of being involved in the corruption deal with Una Oil.

"The committee is preparing to read the preliminary report on its findings regarding the investigation of the case of Una Oil," said the committee's chairman, Mazen Mazni, to the Journal News. "The committee will announce the report at a press conference in the parliament building."

He added that "the report included charges to a number of figures in the current and previous oil ministry," noting that "the Committee is working on specific timetables to host and bring a number of personalities that we have information that link to the scandal Ona Oil."

"During the past period, a number of officials of the Ministry of Oil have been hosted, in addition to other figures who were named during the investigations," he said.

An investigation by the Vervax Media and the Huffington Post revealed the involvement of former oil minister Hussain al-Shahristani and other Iraqi officials in a corruption scandal involving oil contracts, in what is known as a media scandal, "Ona Oil."
