Airline crew arrives in Seattle to bring Boeing plane to Baghdad airport

Iraqi Airways announced Saturday the arrival of its crew to bring a Boeing aircraft to Baghdad International Airport.

"The crew of the Iraqi plane and the engineering team arrived in Seattle to bring Iraqi Airways 801-737 to Baghdad International Airport," the company's general manager Samer Kubba said in a statement received by Al-Ghad Press.

He added that "one of the aircraft will arrive on the 26th of this month, while the second plane will arrive at the beginning of next month," adding that "the technical team will follow the final work to develop the logo of Iraqi Airways on the plane while it will be directed towards Baghdad at the time."

It is worth mentioning that the Minister of Transport Kazem Vajan al-Hammami had already announced the purchase of Iraq two planes for the Iraqi Airways and the format of direct purchase without relying on borrowing from banks.
