Minister of Planning discusses with US officials the provision of ration card requirements

Iraqi Planning Minister Salman Jumaili discussed with US officials the development of bilateral relations and the provision of ration card requirements and reconstruction operations during his visit to the US capital Washington.
The Ministry of Planning said in a statement that the Minister of Planning and Trade Agency, Salman Jumaili, discussed with a number of US officials during his official visit to Washington for the period from 19 to 25 July, a number of important issues related to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries, And the contribution of US companies to the reconstruction and development of liberated areas.
“Jumaili met US Commerce Secretary Jacob Hernandez and discussed with him the development of trade relations and overcoming the obstacles that affect the trade exchange between the two countries.”
He called Jumaili, according to the statement the US side to the need to enter US companies to the Iraqi market and the sector of government contracts, especially with regard to the provision of the requirements of the ration card, especially in the field of grain.
In the same context, the ministry confirmed that Jumaili and the accompanying delegation held a round of important consultations with the US side, concerning external procurement with the Trade Law Development Program of the Ministry of Commerce.
Jumaili said that the Iraqi Ministry of Trade is ready to work towards achieving the common vision and to reach an optimal formula to activate and facilitate bilateral trade cooperation.
Al-Jumaili discussed with US Trade Representative Lynn Sezer the efforts of Iraq to enter the World Trade Organization.
